Cambodia in 1 Week!

Hello to everyone! I have been spending time visiting relatives in Northern Italy and will meet David and John in Florence this weekend before heading off to Cambodia. Apparently the weather has been very hot, stormy and rainy in Phnom Penh, but I hope it will calm down a bit before I arrive. The good thing is that the kids smile in any weather!

Dave Atkins reports the new orphanage in Northern Thailand is under construction, and on schedule. He sent some photos and it will be a wonderful facility when completed. 52 children are already sponsored, so things are looking up.

As I write this from a Blockbuster Video store PC point in Cortina de Ampezzo, I realize I need to start preparing myself for the transition to Cambodia. Talk about polar opposites! Jennifer Anniston was here 2 days ago....no Cambodian sightings as of yet. Tonight I think I will eat rice....rissoto as the Italians call it....no spiders...just rice!

I hope all is well with everyone. David and I had a great visit and celebrated his 19th birthday on Monday. He seems quite ready for the real world!

Ciao and baccione.

Sharvin
